During the first phase, in which the trai- ning for nurses is integrated, the students move in three different areas: college, hospital and vocational school. In these three areas they assigned themselves to various groups that have effects on their self-image. In order to determine these groups, a group discussion with five students of the third year of training was held. The aim is to raise the social identity of stu- dents. In the analysis of the data, groups were identified, which the participants feel that they belong to and reasons for this assignment. This exposition based on the theory of social iden- tity defined by Henri Tajfel and John Turner. The results reflect that the surveyed students are influenced by the statements of third parties in their subjective group classification. Depen- ding on whether they have a positive or negative opinion about studying for nurses. In sum- mary, the students affiliate themselfs with the group of students in the areas of college and vocational school. During the practical part of the training at a hospital, they do not assigned to that student-group and it has no influence on their self-image.
