• Hintergrund: Motivation zu dieser Arbeit ist die Beobachtung in der Praxis, dass Fachverbände Sozialer Arbeit im Kontext Gesundheitshilfe häufig über die Adressat:innen Sozialer Arbeit sprechen, aber diese nicht partizipativ an der fachverbandlichen Arbeit beteiligen. Vor dem Hintergrund der Annahmen, dass Partizipation eigentlich ein wichtiges fachliches Maxim Sozialer Arbeit ist, Fachverbände diese Fachlichkeit stärken sollen und dass Fachverbände anderer Gesundheitsprofessionen mindestens informative Partizipation betreiben, entsteht eine Diskrepanz. Daher wird in dieser Arbeit explorativ untersucht, warum dies so ist und ob es Notwendigkeiten und Möglichkeiten gibt, diesen Umstand zu ändern. Methode: Es werden das Wesen von (Fach-)Verbänden sowie die Anforderungen aus dem Diskurs zu Partizipation literaturanalytisch aufgearbeitet. Zudem erfolgt in einer Dokumentenanalyse von n=7 Satzungen von Fachverbänden Sozialer Arbeit die Untersuchung der bisherigen Rolle von Partizipation von Adressat:innen in Fachverbänden. Ergebnisse: Es zeigt sich, dass Partizipation von Adressat:innen bisher kaum eine Rolle für die Fachverbände Sozialer Arbeit spielt, aber diverse Anknüpfungspunkte für eine Umsetzung sowie Beispiele der erfolgreichen Umsetzung existieren. Außerdem wird deutlich, welche besondere Rolle Fachverbände in der Gesellschaft spielen und dass der partizipativen Ausrichtung ihrer Inhalte und ihres Wirkens eine wichtige, zu berücksichtigen Bedeutung zukommt. Diskussion: Fachverbände sollten sich mit ihren Möglichkeiten der partizipativen Ausrichtung auseinandersetzen. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass die Umsetzung aufgrund der professionstypischen Mehrfachmandatierung von Fachverbänden Sozialer Arbeit und auf Grund der Charakteristik des Gesundheitswesens in gewissen Grenzen erfolgt. Diese können je nach spezifischem Setting des Verbandes anders ausfallen.
• Participation of addressees of social work in professional associations (service user involvement): Discussion on the necessity and conceptualization of possible steps for real-ization. Background: Motivation to write this thesis was the observation in social work practice that professional associations of social work in the context of health care often talk about the addressees of social work, but do not involve them participatively in their work. Against the background of the assumptions that participation is an important professional maxim of social work, that professional associations should strengthen this professionalism and that professional associations of other health care professions practice at least informative participation, a discrepancy arises. Therefore, this thesis explores why this is the case and whether there are necessities and possibilities to change this situation. Methods: The nature of (professional) associations as well as the requirements of the discourse on participation in the literature are analyzed. In addition, a document analysis of n=7 statutes of professional associations of social work will be conducted to investigate the role of participation of addressees in professional associa-tions so far. Results: It is shown that participation of addressees has hardly played a role for the professional associations of social work so far. At the same time various starting points for an implementation as well as examples of successful implementation exist. In addition, it becomes clear which special role professional associations play in society and that the participatory orientation of their content and activities is important. Discussion: Professional associations should consider their possibilities for participatory orientation. It should be noted that the implementation is subject to certain limits due to the profession-typical multiple mandates of social work associations and due to the characteristics of the health care system. These limits can be different depending on the specific setting of the association.
